James Hankey has two decades of criminal defense law experience in Phoenix, where he has fine-tuned his skills in legal analysis, client counseling, oral argument and much more to provide the best possible defense for each and every client he serves. James believes there is no such thing as a small case or unimportant detail.
Hankey received his Juris Doctor in 1995 from the prestigious Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky in 1986.
Before attending law school, James worked as a news and features reporter for the Daily News-Courier, in Virginia, and before he was a news director at NPR affiliate KTPR-FM in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
